Chalet Cafe

A warm Yorkshire welcome waits for you at the Chalet Cafe, North side, Scarborough. We are a family run beachside takeaway cafe offering additional outdoor seating. Wheelchair accessible.

At the Chalet Cafe we have probably one of the finest views on the North Yorkshire coast, so come and sit a while and enjoy the view with us.

What’s on offer?

A range of hot and cold drinks including plain and fancy hot chocolate.

We use Baytown coffee beans that are freshly roasted in Whitby.

Ice cream milkshakes and slush.

Breakfast baps.

Chips, hot dogs.

Freshly made sandwiches and paninis.

Homemade soups and seasonal special dishes.

We sell a range of home and locally baked cakes and traybakes.

Hot apple crumble and custard.

Ice cream.

We have vegetarian and gluten-free options available.

School Groups

We can cater for school groups on a pre booked basis. Please call on the numbers below.

Opening Hours

The Chalet Cafe is open throughout the year and we aim to keep open throughout the winter. From May–Oct we will be open 7 days a week and during the summer months we will remain open into the evening when the Open Air Theatre concerts are on.

Beach Goods

Don’t worry if you have left your beach toys at home, we sell a small range of buckets and spades and other beach goods.

Dog Policy

We love dogs and well-behaved dogs are welcome in our seating area.

Scarborough Beach Chalets are situated on Scarborough's North Bay promenade. Ample Pay-and-display parking is available the whole way around the marine drive, park up to 2 hours for free on disc zones within a short walking distance.
